Students at BTA Hayes were grilled today in a ‘Mock Interview’ situation. As part of the Employability Skills lessons, the Year 10 students put their interview skills to the test. Sitting in front of a panel of two employers from the DWP, questions covered subjects from ‘how would you deal with a difficult situation’ to ‘Is a Jaffa Cake a cake or a biscuit?’ How would you answer that question?
Students received constructive feedback to help them with their next interview. When asked if this was a worthwhile event, students said “I’m really glad I did it, even though I was very nervous” and “I nearly didn’t come into the room” and finally “this will make me less nervous for a real interview”
Well done to all the Year 10 students today – you smashed it!
