Please read on to find more information about the Careers Event that took place at Bromley Trust Academy during National Careers Week
To celebrate the end of National Careers Week which runs from 6 – 10 March 2023, Bromley Trust Academy held their very first Careers Fair. Partners from local colleges, the DWP, University of Greenwich, Bromley Mencap and Clarion Housing all came along to support and inspire the students.
To help our students overcome their natural shyness, a booklet was provided with questions to ask the employers to get the discussion started. Once that discussion had started it was often hard to stop!
Every student from Year 7 to Year 11 had a dedicated time slot to attend the careers fair.
When asked about the careers fair, the students said “I found about courses I am interested in at LSEC” and “I spoke to the CITB about how to get into architecture” and “…it’s a great idea for people who don’t know what they want to do in the future”. The employers also thoroughly enjoyed the day saying “We had a fantastic time engaging with the students” “I wish I could have bottled up their energy to take home”
We also found out that Clarion Housing Association residents can also benefit from free training to upskill themselves. Our very own Jackie Gideon benefitted from this training to gain the qualifications required to work at BTA!
