Please read on to find more about BTAH students' involvement with planning for their own futures.
Autumn term also sees the start of our 1:1 careers guidance interviews. The law requires all young people in England to continue in education or training until at least their 18th birthday. This means continuing onto a Sixth Form, College or an apprenticeship. The careers guidance interview provides an opportunity for the student to speak to a trained Careers Adviser about the opportunities available to them. As a school, we will support the application process, often assisting with the completion of the forms and following up with the student on where they are in the process. After making an application, the student will usually be invited to an interview, after which they will receive a ‘conditional offer’ of a place in September 2022. This conditional offer remains in place until August 2022, when after collecting GCSE results on Thursday 25 August, the student will go to their chosen college/school and formally enrol.
