World Book Day 2017 at Midfield Campus was a big success with most children making a great effort with their costumes and dressing up as their favourite book characters.
We made trips to Waterstones and the children used their £1 tokens to purchase their choice of book and really enjoyed looking at all the other books and sitting down in a quiet spot for a little read. Other activities taking place through the day included story telling, drama, story arts and crafts and book sharing.
At the end of the day, one child in each class was awarded a prize of a brand new popular children's book from Waterstones as a prize for making the most effort.
