Our aim at LSEAT Alternative Curriculum College (ACC) is to offer learners who are facing challenges in their mainstream school setting with an opportunity to undertake an alternative curriculum at LSEC Bromley, 2 days per week. The objective is to promote engagement and a renewed love of learning.
Over the course of the year, each learner will have an opportunity to complete a vocational qualification in one of the following areas;
- Multi-skills (Brickwork, Carpentry, Plumbing and Electrics)
- Motor Vehicle
- Hair and Beauty
The curriculum gives learners a chance to develop vocational skills through both practical and theoretical lessons that will help learners to thrive and achieve. We believe that the progress learners will make at ACC, will help them to build their self-esteem and a renewed belief in their own ability, which we feel will then have a positive impact on each learner’s development in their mainstream setting.
The vocational qualifications that each learner completes will give him or her clear line of sight to employment or further study, but ultimately enhance each individual’s life chances, making a significant contribution to their ability to have a prosperous future.
